The Japanese Other in translated literature: paratexts in the translations of Kawabata and Mishima in Spain

This paper is a case study of the role translation paratexts in creating or reinforcing image Japanese Other. The aim this to analyze factors related stereotyping order contribute better knowledge mechanisms representation Otherness. My hypothesis that significant number include stereotypes and paratext authorship (translator, publisher etc.) types (direct, indirect, retranslation) are this. corpus comprises books by Mishima Kawabata for which there two more different translations published Spain.
